This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to plan, manage and support the installation of new or upgraded software to networked computers according to vendor and organization specifications.  Purchasing and installing software is expensive and even more so, when the software installed does not really end up meeting the business requirements. Thus, careful planning is very important. Furthermore the unit looks at how to determine your client’s business software requirements. We will also cover how to select software, evaluate how well the software might meet the requirements and how to make recommendations to your clients. Also covers the ways in which you can install software on networked computers.
