The level 3 Certificate in Computing is designed to build up the skills and knowledge for people to perform a wide range of activities with the application of specific skills and knowledge required in the information and technology working environment. Participants will also be able to coach others in job skills, adapt and transfer skills and knowledge to new environment.

  • Complete year 13 (general education)
  • or has achieved level 2 certificate
  • or at least 3 years work experience in a related ICT area
  • Minimum 17 years of age

Having complete this course the learner will be able to:

Certificate III in Computing (Hardware)

  • Operate a medium-sized mainframe computer
  • Follow prescribed standards and procedures, both oral and written operations concepts and procedures.
  • Perform computer building operations
  • Install and administer computer hardware
  • Work effectively with others; knowledge of computer

Certificate III in Computing (Support)

  • Determine software and hardware requirements to provide solutions to problems
  • Answer queries on software and hardware problems
  • Download and install appropriate software
  • Ensure efficient use of applications and equipment

Certificate III in computing (Network)

  • Operate external and internal network
  • Perform computer network cabling
  • Troubleshoot Network errors
  • Perform network internal management
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

All E.I.T courses are accredited by Vanuatu Qualification Authority and are recognizable throughout the Pacific region. To Successfully complete this course you must complete all units with an average score of 60% or higher in each unit assessment. Upon successful completion of this course, you would be awarded a certified Certificate III in Computing (Hardware) or Certificate III in Computing (Software) or Certificate III in Computing (Network).
